Chicago!

Welcome to my new website, I've been in the process of redesigning my site for a while and I've got a few tweaks left to make but for the most part, here it is. Please take some time and look around, let me know what you think!

I just got back from 5 days in Chicago and it was amazing. I've been to Chicago twice before but I hardly remember it.

I left Seattle in the rain, and arrived in Chicago in the snow. I had missed the "polar vortex" and it was starting to warm up when I got there. I stayed in Hyde Park with my sister and brother-in-law, and we spent the weekend exploring and eating. Mostly eating.

Everyone loves the giant window at Sea-Tac.

I can now cross Wrigley off of my list of stadiums to visit.

Although next time I would like to actually go inside.

I've seen so many pictures of the bean, but it's so much more impressive in person. I could've spent a lot more time looking at it. It was a perfect day for it too!

Obligatory bean-selfie. I noticed I always look deeply concerned in my self portraits. Need to work on that.

This was one of my favorite parts of the trip. Emily is a friend of mine from college who started a YouTube show while volunteering full time at the zoological museum at The University of Montana. She ended up moving to Chicago and taking a job at the Field Museum, bringing her show The Brain Scoop with her. She took me through some of the hallways, and exhibits of the museum, and it was amazing and awesome.  Check her work out.

Hyde Park, on my way to check out the Obama house. It was mostly shrubs and barricades. And some brick.

I think the city of Chicago flag is one of the best flags ever. Beautiful.
